While gmail is still in beta, the only way to get yourself an account is by asking gmail users like me for an invite. Just leave me your email address and an invite would be on it's way. happy gmailing! UPDATE: No more invites available. I hope gmail goes live soon and everyone can sign up for their own account! My first choice of userid wasn't available, and because of that Shalin got back to me very promptly and within a very short time he also gave me the password for the second userid. It shows that there are still few good people out there like Shalin who just helps people even without knowing who these people are.
