The Reprise

Been years since I wrote poem and quite long since I shared one. I would like to share one, while thinking about the good old days when I could write:

The Reprise

The window is still open

A thought
escaped my mind
through the window
and flew across

I saw it hung over
the crimson horizon
and fuse
into the night

you met him
the other night
nurtured it
to become a dream

Last night,
a dream shattered
like a fragile glass
and broke the window

Letters

I left some
unwritten thoughts
on my desk;

the sun breaks
into my room
every morning
through the window
highlighting those
bunch of thoughts
that won’t sit
on the paper

it feels,
I have already
told you this
many a times

I am longing
to write to you
to tell you that
I love you.

CRY

I have been watching
the pouring rain,
the soil is damped
like my eyes,
like my disfigured thoughts,
like my fragile dreams,

I held a muted moment
of the night
in my arms,
sobbed endlessly,
like a kid
crying for his lost kite.

Rain

Come,
lets walk in this rain
lets get drenched
lets hear what every drop has got to say
lets hold hands, forever.

Come,
lets make love
In this rain again
Come,
lets make rain
With this love again.
